A series of lecture/demonstrations starting on Monday, January 12, 2015, 6:30. Turners of all experience levels should benefit and there will be very little hands-on instruction. The 9-week series will cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to: shape and other design features, finishing, tool sharpening and selection, spalting, vacuum chucking and at least one session in a professional shop. In class demonstrations will to some extent be chosen by class requests but will include: ultrathin, natural edge, platters, spheres, dyed, open form, off-axis, and “punk” wood.
