Hi Everyone,
Well it looks like the weather is going to cooperate this Saturday, so this is your reminder that our monthly meeting will
be this Saturday, February 22nd, starting around 9:15 at our usual place,
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis. We are pleased to
announce that Kelly Richard was able to rearrange her schedule in order to join
us this Saturday ans will speak to us on “Your journey
as a fine craftsman and getting your work accepted into a gallery.”
Montpelier Mansion We will also be accepting your entries into the Montpelier Mansion show that
will start with the reception on March 1st or if you're not going to have your
pieces ready by the meeting, you can take them to Lou Rudinski's or Charlie
Goedeke's before February 24th. All pieces must be submitted no later than February 24th.
We also need volunteers for the show set up, the reception,
the pick-up and delivery of club pedestals, and organizing and cataloging the
display. These activities will occur on February 27th and 28th with the
judging on the 27th.
The reception for the show will be on March 1st from 1pm -
4pm. We will also be demonstrating each weekend in March. We hope you will all
participate as this is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow
Chesapeake Woodturners and also to hone your turning skills.
Charlie will have signup sheets going around on Saturday at the meeting for all
of these events. If you are not able to get to the meeting and want to
participate, please contact Charlie at the address above.
See you Saturday,
Doug Bartos
