Next meeting w/Ashley Harwood, Saturday, January 16

The Chesapeake Woodturners and the Woodturning Co-Op at Maryland Hall will meet Saturday, January 16 in the Woodturning Room at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.

This months guest will be Ashley Harwood ( www.ashleyharwood.com ) . Ashley focuses on works that are completed on the lathe, without carving, texturing or burning.

The meeting will begin at 9:15 AM with a short business report followed by Ashley's demonstration of specific tools she uses, how they are sharpened and what their their benefits.are. Ashley will also discuss how to obtain different grain patterns depending on orientation when processing blanks and how to create a pleasing form.

Vending machines are available for lunch or you may bring your own.

Members and guests are welcome, there will be a $10 fee for the day.
